As fans of Widnes Vikings RLFC over the decades, the team at Nyland & Beattie Solicitors have always supported and provided sponsorship to the club throughout the highs and lows of recent years. And, with the new rugby season approaching, we are proud to announce our latest role as official Widnes Vikings kit partners for 2020.
Eager to support our local rugby league team, Nyland & Beattie has joined other local Widnes businesses as kit and training range sponsors for the season ahead. The Nyland & Beattie logo will be featured in prime position on both the Vikings home and away jerseys next season.
Being Widnes Vikings Kit Partners is the latest development in a longstanding history between the much-loved rugby club and the Widnes law firm. Founded by Widnes RLFC committee member and lifelong loyal supporter Frank Nyland in 1958, Nyland & Beattie Solicitors have been involved with the Widnes club for many years.
Frank’s commitment to the club has often been recognised throughout the town, with local primary schools competing for the Frank Nyland trophy over the years, and the Widnes Vikings Development Squad now playing for the coveted cup.
From fans in the stands to roles on the committee, the staff at Nyland & Beattie have always felt a close connection to the club, celebrating the team’s successes as well as rallying behind them after problems arose following the club’s relegation from the Super League in 2018.
New Widnes Vikings kit partners
Barry Hill, Senior Partner at Nyland and Beattie Solicitors, commented: “What brought it home to us was when the club was in financial difficulties because the club means a great deal to the town and all the people in it.
“The club really means everything to Widnesians and when times became difficult, we thought it was time we came back on board by renewing our involvement with the club, and we’re delighted to have joined the club in further sponsorship.”
The Nyland & Beattie team are enthusiastic and optimistic about the Betfred Championship 2020 Season and will be supporting the club and players every step of the way over the year ahead. It really is a club like no other.
