As a Solicitors firm based in Widnes, the team at Nyland and Beattie have nominated local charity Halton Haven Hospice as the focus of our fundraising efforts over the coming year.
The team at Nyland and Beattie want to show our gratitude towards Halton Haven Hospice for the wonderful services they provide within the community. By choosing Halton Haven as our Charity of the Year for 2019-2020, the Nyland and Beattie staff have promised to raise awareness and funds for the Runcorn based palliative care centre over the next twelve months.
WORKING TOGETHER

In recent years, Nyland and Beattie Solicitors have worked closely with Halton Haven to support the vital care they provide to patients in the local area. In April this year, our solicitor, Alex Yates, volunteered to take part in ‘Will Week’ lending his time and expertise to helping people plan for the future, with every penny raised going to the charity.
During Halton Haven Hospice’s Will Week, local residents were given the opportunity to get professional advice and assistance from a solicitor to help them update or write a Will in exchange for a suggested donation to the hospice. Halton Haven’s Will Week 2019 was a massive success, raising over £4,400 in donations, and you can find out more about writing a Will with Nyland and Beattie here.
ABOUT OUR CHARITY OF THE YEAR | HALTON HAVEN HOSPICE
Halton Haven is a small independent charity, based in Brookvale, Runcorn. Through their inpatient, outpatient, and daycare clinics, nursing, medical, and voluntary staff are able to provide a range of palliative care services. These services help to manage the pain and other symptoms experienced by individuals with treatable illnesses that cannot be cured. From medication to meditation, Halton Haven takes care of the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of each person who accesses the centre, with the aim of offering a better quality of life.
In order to deliver these invaluable services, the hospice relies largely on funds raised by local people and organisations to help them continue their compassionate and dignified work.
PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNDRAISING
So, at Nyland & Beattie Solicitors we’ve set ourselves a challenge of hosting several charity events over the next few months. We hope to raise as much money as possible for our local hospice, as well as having some fun in the process, and if you’d like to get started now, you can donate what you can here through the Nyland and Beattie Justgiving page.
